Mexico: Strong earthquake struck near Acapulco, buildings shook in Mexico City

Strong earthquake tremors were felt Tuesday night near the Acapulco resort in the south of Mexico, which shook buildings in the country’s capital Mexico City, about 200 miles from the city.

The US Geological Survey said the quake had an initial magnitude of 7.0 and its epicenter was eight kilometers east-southeast of Pueblo Madero in Guerrero state. There is no report of damage from the earthquake so far.
